Faith To Believe

This page is intended as an encouragement in overcoming the great difficulties that come along in life.

For me, after I left my career in the corporate business world, I fell pray to a deceptive and very destructive cult in the Stroud area of Gloucestershire. I was looking for spiritual truth, but unfortunately over time I realised the seemingly trustworthy  'teacher' was actually looking for money and power. My story of years in this cult was published by ‘The Mail On Sunday’ in 2006 and again at Easter 2013.

I became a Christian in 2002 and my faith gave me the courage and strength to fight the injustice. I fought and won a three year legal battle from 2003 to 2006 with the help of an excellent ‘no win, no fee’ lawyer. After this I went onto help others.

If you would like to read my story, you can follow this link to the Daily Mail Online article.

The rebuilding of my own life since has given me a passion to help others. I have had a number of people contact me for help with family members caught up in cults since my case was settled in 2006. Throughout my Christian life I have spent many days and hours praying for and counselling people on personal matters and still do. Why do I tell you all of this? Because none of us are perfect, in a world that increasingly seeks perfection. Great strength is developed by learning from our mistakes and working through them with a determination to press on in greater wisdom. I have learnt to leave the past behind me; utilising it only to help myself and other people to move on in faith!

My equine journey began again in 2006 and has been an important part of rebuilding my life. From the day that I purchased my horse to now, has been one great leap of faith! With my own horses and all the horses I work with, I continue to exercise my faith daily... emotionally, physically, financially and spiritually. I bring all I have learnt with both people and horses into my work.

In February 2018 I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. I decided against traditional chemo and a mastectomy, but researched a natural protocol of nutrition, a vegan diet, cancer fighting supplements, juic ing, smoothies and a great deal of faith and prayer. Despite being given a doubtful medical outcome by mainstream medicine, I am alive and very well and continuing this natural healing protocol. I thank God for guiding me through it all.

My first church family of 12 years was local to me at Stroud Christian Fellowship  www.stroudcf.org

My current church family are Victory Church in Cwmbran, South Wales. They are wonderfully supportive and have been a significant part of my journey since 2014. www.victorychurch.co.uk
